Making swimming a little easier for kids — and their parents
Comfy Kids Swim came from our own experience as parents.
Our son is five now, and over the years we’ve discovered that something as simple as going swimming can come with a surprising number of little battles.
For him, one of the first was putting his face underwater. He simply didn’t want to do it. So, like many parents, we started trying different goggles in the hope that finding the right pair would give him a little more confidence.
That turned into a journey of its own.
We had goggles that pulled and caught in his hair. Goggles that constantly needed adjusting, meaning we had to stop what we were doing and fix them for him. Others created an uncomfortable amount of suction around his eyes or simply felt too tight.
Then we discovered Frogglez.
The soft strap didn’t pull his hair, they were comfortable to wear and most importantly, they were much easier for him to use independently. Something that had regularly caused frustration became one less thing for him and us to worry about.
And that’s really where the idea behind Comfy Kids Swim began.
Because it’s rarely just about swimming
We started noticing the same thing on family trips to the beach.
Traditional mesh-lined swimming shorts could leave him chafed and sore. What should have been a lovely family day could quickly turn into an upset child who was uncomfortable, in pain and just wanted to go home.
Then there was getting changed at the beach. Trying to get a cold, wet child undressed, dried and dressed while preserving everyone’s dignity and stopping their clothes from ending up covered in sand isn’t exactly the relaxing seaside experience you want!
Even the towel could become part of the problem; wet, heavy and coated in sand before the day was over.
Sun cream was another battle. Our son hated having it applied, so covering him properly could take what felt like forever. At the same time, he’d quickly get cold going in and out of the sea. And then you guessed it- he would want to go home.
A good rash vest suddenly solved more than one problem: greater coverage from the sun meant less exposed skin to cover with sunscreen, while that extra layer also helped him feel more comfortable when he was in and around the water.
One by one, we found products that made these little problems easier.
Products chosen because we’ve needed them ourselves
That’s what we want Comfy Kids Swim to be about.
We’re not interested in filling the website with hundreds of swimming products simply because they belong in the category.
The products we choose are here because they address the real, everyday problems we’ve experienced as a family.

We know that what works for one child won’t necessarily work for every child. But we also know how much difference one seemingly small solution can make.
Because sometimes the difference between a stressful swimming trip and a brilliant one isn’t something dramatic.
It’s simply finding the thing that removes one more battle.
